This six hours training course is designed to suit all needs, be that of a designated first aider, those requiring a comprehensive first-aid course for work or those simply interested in developing their skills.

The training is ideally (but not exclusively) suited for complementary therapists. It is organised in conjuction with the Association of Professional Colon Hydrotherapists and will satisify their membership requirements for basic First Aid training.

Over the course of the day, delegates will gain an understanding of different incidents and injuries so that they are able to treat unconcious patients efficiently and effectively.

All training is delivered in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations. Qualsafe and CIEH accreditations are available for a small extra fee. 

Topics for the course include

  • Introduction and explanations relating to delievering emergency first aid.
  • First aid health and safety regulations.
  • Learn about the priorities of first aid and how to manage an incident safely.
  • Treatments of unconsciousness, Shock, bleeding and common workplace injuries.
  • Combination of practical and theory sessions to deal with first aid emergencies.
  • Learn how to administer first aid in a variety of situations.


The course is delivered within a day over a 6 hour period. There will be a continuous assessment throughout by the trainer. Upon successful completion, first aiders receive certification to allow them to practice for three years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary.
